Overview

Tobacco and alcohol carry digital DataMatrix codes; from January 2026 their marks also have to appear in settlement documents. Medicines join from 1 January 2026, with codes issued only to Armenian residents. A 2025 plan to mark drinks, food, dairy and cosmetics was announced and then pulled back for more work, so check before relying on it.
