Decree 372/2026 in force: national platform and UID codes; mandatory for high-risk goods by sector roadmap
Overview
Vietnam is building one national traceability system for all goods. The amended Law on Product and Goods Quality makes traceability mandatory for high-risk products from 2026. From 1 January 2027 Decree 372/2026 moves it onto a national platform run by the Ministry of Public Security: every product gets a UID code in GS1 Digital Link format, recorded on the NDAChain blockchain. The National Data Association built the platform as NDATrace. High-risk goods such as food, medicines and agricultural inputs are mandatory, following each ministry’s roadmap; other goods and exports are voluntary unless a sector law requires it.
If you supply this market
- Get GS1 product numbers (GTIN) for every SKU and register with the national operator: National platform for product identification.
- Order a code for every unit from the operator before production.
- Print and verify every code on the line; aggregate into cases and pallets where the product group requires it.
- Report the goods into circulation before they are sold.
